An extensive barrier reef is located approximately one mile offshore, protects Grace Bay from Atlantic ocean swells, which helps keep the beach water calm and safe. Pine Cay offers a very calm and relaxed atmosphere. Essentially a sandbar that has grown over time, this beach is around 110 meters wide and today the central dune is home to light vegetation and casuarinas. Duration: 1 hour Stop At: Leeward Beach It is the most popular snorkeling site in the Turks and Caicos Islands due to its magnificent underwater views. Most tours stay close to the shallow end of the reef, where there are intricate gullies and small caves teeming with ocean life, and churning beds of yellow and purple gorgonians above the coral shelf.
