Truly the best hike experience of my life! Logan was super organized and communicative, and Filipe was a fantastic driver who was very familiar with the route. He gave a ton of tips as we drove to the sunrise point, and was always chatty and friendly. He also took us to the Santana house after and we got to try coffee liquor!

Brilliant guide Felipe, we just expected a pick up and drop off. But in addition to that he has shared so much valuable and interesting information about Madeira. We also made an additional stop on our way back to see some traditional housing of Madeira and try home made goodies :)

We were lucky with the weather and the whole experience was amazing. Though I’m physically fit, I’d recommend to have some fitness level for this hike. Especially the last bit which goes on the sunny side of the range might add some difficulty. Visit to the local house in Santana was a nice bonus at the end, it felt natural, contrary to some of such visits.
