After meeting your guide at the meeting point early in the morning, you will advance to see the city’s landmarks from the cruise ship. Following this, cross Westminster Bridge to the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey, one of the most historic buildings in London and the setting for royal coronations, weddings, and burials. Afterwards, continue through Parliament Square, before heading down Whitehall towards the Cenotaph War Memorial. Just after that, see one of the most popular tourist spots in London, the mounted soldiers at Horse Guards. Walk through the central arch into the parade grounds at the back, one of the finest sights in London. Continue your tour down Whitehall until you reach Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s Column. When you reach the north side of the square, you will visit the National Gallery, London’s premier art gallery with over 2000 works dating from 1260 onward. Some of the artists on display are Botticelli, Cézanne, Constable, Monet, Rembrandt, Renoir, Titian, Turner, and Van Gogh. Then, head through Admiralty Arch and walk up the mall towards Buckingham Palace. Have the opportunity to take pictures outside and listen to the history of the palace, which has served as the official London residence of the UK’s sovereigns since 1837 and is currently the administrative headquarters of the Queen. Your tour will continue with a walk through Green Park, one of four “royal” parks in central London that is officially owned by the sovereign. Your guide will then take you to London’s biggest shopping streets. Pass the Ritz Hotel and Fortnum and Mason, one of the most famous shops on Piccadilly that was founded in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason. There is so, so much to see and discover during this unique tour. The legal and cultural LGBTQI is learned and discussed whilst taking in some of the loveliest and splendourous sights London has to over. Most LGBTQI tours focus on the Civil Liberties: this tour offers unique insights into the various civilisations attitudes and practices in the LGBTQI space. The qualified guide is dressed as Anne Bonney, the infamous pirate, who allegedly had a lesbian relationship with Mary Read, another girl pirate: cross dressing and the culture of M/F identities within UK arts, and music scene is talked about openly in some great spaces. The Royal Family, LGBTQI in royal context is given by the guide in St. James' Park within eyeshot of Buckingham Palace, the place of royal residence since Victoria & Albert. The differences between the treatments of men and women in the LGBTQI history is discussed here before walking to Piccadilly and London's theatreland. Here discover just how important to the arts and music counter culture in London has been totally dependant on and due to the LGBTQI contribution. The notorious and famous Admiral Duncan pub in Soho is visited for a well earned pint and to take in a space that has survived a lot of anti LGBTQI feeling. This is a tour that doen's just cover Pride and the trials and tribulations of the LGBTQI space, but the rich variety of that world, it's legal and cultural journey and the important participants. Questions and contributions from those taking part are encouraged and practiced throughout the duration of the tour. We depart and end in Soho with the choice of remaining with the group and guide or leaving.

6. London: Winston Churchill Walking Tour with War Rooms Ticket

This tour will be for all fans of the man voted the greatest figure in British history, wartime prime minister, Sir Winston Churchill. On this walking tour, you will explore the streets of Piccadilly, St. James and Westminster and visit places that played important roles in his life. Have a chance to sit on a bench with Churchill and his wartime ally, President Roosevelt. Everyone knows that Sir Winston Churchill loved his cigars, as well as various other vices. Visit the store which used to supply his cigars. Inside, there will be a hidden treasure of London which was used by the great man himself. Visit the home where Churchill lived as a young boy as well as Downing Street, where he lived as prime minister and see the church where he and Clementine were married in 1908. Nearby, you will see the most famous statue of Churchill and learn about the story of why it is there and what it represents, handily it is rather close to one of the pubs he used to visit and a good place to visit afterwards. The tour will end outside the Churchill War Rooms which are perfectly preserved from the Second World War and from which Churchill ran the war whilst the streets through which you walked were regularly bombed by the Luftwaffe. Tickets for the War Rooms will be included along with an excellent audio guide.
