Sorrento: Guided Walking Tour & Limoncello Tasting

Sorrento: Guided Walking Tour & Limoncello Tasting

"Discover the historic center of Sorrento without stress and without maps with the help of a guide born and raised in Sorrento! The best way to discover the city and visit places you wouldn't be able to find on your own". Starting from the Vallone dei Mulini, one of the most beautiful landscapes of the city, we will delve into the morphological and geological part of the city, and then move on to the historic center, passing through the famous Piazza Tasso. We will visit the Sedil Dominova, the ancient seat of the city's nobles, and then delve into the production of the famous Sorrento inlay and the production of limoncello, the type of Sorrento liqueur. We will then go down to the fishing port and go back up to visit the marvellous Cloister of San Francesco, to conclude with a tasting of limoncello and limoncello cream in a partner shop (there will also be other products: melon cream, chocolates, biscuits, balsamic vinegar, some pesto/pistachio creams and dried tomatoes, to understand the quality of our local production). Extremely important note: The tasting is a break offered free of charge by a partner shop to understand the organoleptic qualities of limoncello and have the opportunity to purchase local products. To keep the cost of the tour competitive, it isn't a food tour, nor does it represent a tour in which part of the cost concerns the food part being only a pleasant break before the visit of the Cathedral offered by our producer friends. For those interested in further information on the history of the city after the tasting it will be possible to visit the Cathedral of Sorrento or the church of Sant'Antonino (depending on closing times). Consider 15/20 minutes to visit the church, for a total tour of 2/2.10 hours. For the Sunday morning tour (10.00) and for the 6.30pm (everyday) tour it will not be possible to visit the final Church because of the celebrations. Why not miss this Tour?! - Discover Historical Sorrento without needing a map with a native of the town - Discover secrets you wouldn't know when traveling alone - Small groups for a relaxing walk and to be able to answer all your curiosities - Easy communication before and after the tour - Tasting of limoncello & limoncello cream in a partner shop producing limoncello - Travel tips - Personalized recommendations on where to drink and eat in the area - Read the reviews of those who came before you!

Absolutely superb day under the direction of our host Antonio, who was exceptional! Disappointed that we did not get to Positano due to a rock slide blocking the road on the day, which was outwith anyone's control, but Antonio took us up over the mountains to both Amalfi and Ravello, this route more than making up for missing Positano. Just outstanding! Antonio was an exceptional host, as well as a very safe driver, and kept us right throughout the day with recommendations; one of which was an hours boat trip at Amalfi which was just wonderful!!! Having heard about how busy the buses and boats were; going by private mini bus within a small group I believe is by far the best way to do this trip, and one which I would thoroughly recommend. Was the highlight of our holiday in Sorrento, particularly with Antonio as our guide and a great small group of people in the high quality and immaculate mini bus (Mercedes.) A day to remember 11111

Super interesting, amusing and informative. Even though we have visited Sorrento a few times we found some hidden gems. With the wine and food pit stop thrown in it was real value for money. It is over the 2.5 hours though so don’t make firm dinner plans like we did. Be fluid. Good job Nino!

Great tour with Mario, very interesting and knowledgable. The tour was fun and showed us every hidden gem in Sorrento with plenty of info about each place. Very generous limoncello tasting experience too. Would highly recommend this.

Mario was an amazing tour guide! He knew so much history about the city! He ended the tour with an excellent limoncello tasting and sampling of some local spreads. When in Sorrento make sure to put this tour on your list!

Great day, driver/guide Antonio very knowledgeable and helpful. Spectacular scenery
