Our first stop will be at the Gastronomia Doc&Dop to sample a selection of cured hams, cheeses and vegetable patès from Sicily. For the cheese lovers a selection of Monte Veronese, a semi-hard cheese that is produced in the local hills and has a distinctive flavor. After a short walk through the picturesque streets of Verona nearby an old Medieval castle Castelvecchio, we will stop at the oil mill Redoro shop. Lake Garda keeps the climate perfect to grow olives, so enjoy a bruschetta with this liquid gold and 2 patès. At a local chocolatier, we will sample some old fashioned chocolates and its history behind. Forget new brands and experience the ancient flavours of 20s to 50s chocolatiers. Walking around will stop by key landmarks from the Arena to the Roman old Porta Borsari. The story hasn't finished because Verona is famous for its Valpolicella wines. We will stop by the tasting room near the Arena where we will sample 2 iconic red wines (or rosè from Lake Garda if preferred). Water will be provided as well as taralli (classic Italian style wine snacks). Built in 30 AD, the Arena is remarkably well preserved for its age. Learn about its history and how it has survived all these years. Then, enjoy the story of Piazza Dane, the Scala family, and all the historical figures who contributed to making Verona what it is. Take a selfie with a Roman soldier at the Arena, on the Adige River, in front of a glass of wine on the main square, and more.

Stroll through Verona's city center on an informative walking experience with a local guide. Follow the different eras of the town's history as you walk through its main landmarks, including the main square, the Palazzo del Capitano, and the ancient Roman ruins. Meet your guide and enjoy a live commentary as you begin your tour. Start out back in the Roman era, with a walk through the ancient bridge, gateway, looming arch, and archeological site. Continue to the medieval ages and stroll through the Piazza Bra, Piazza dei Signori, and Piazza delle Erbe. Stop at the massive Verona Arena and learn about its history. See Verona's palaces, such as Palazzo della Ragione, Palazzo Della Scala, and Palazzo del Capitano. Marvel at the decadently decorated Loggia del Consiglio and Arche Scaligere. As this full-day (11-hour) excursion begins, you’ll relax on a bus transfer to Verona and listen to your guide’s comments about the trip highlights and the history of Verona and Sirmione. Take in views of the Veneto countryside and the scenic beauty of Lake Garda and its Mediterranean vegetation of olive trees, cypresses, magnolias, oleanders, and lemon trees. You'll arrive in Verona at about 11:00 and then embark on a guided walking tour of the center. Visit the colorful and lively Piazza delle Erbe that was the site of the Roman Forum. See the house of Juliet with the famous balcony, the Piazza dei Signori, where you’ll find the old City Hall, and the nearby Scaligere Tomb and Piazza Bra, which is the center of modern Verona. From Piazza Bra you’ll see the second-largest amphitheater in Italy (after the Colosseum), built in the first century for Roman performances and gladiator battles. It is now a venue for opera performances. After the guided tour you’ll have some free time on your own. Next you’ll depart on the 30-minute drive to Sirmione, a tiny town on the banks of Lake Garda. In Sirmione you can enjoy an optional boat trip (of around 20 minutes) to the far side of the lake. You’ll have free time to explore the romantic peninsula of Sirmione and take in the town’s narrow streets and its medieval walls and castle. Depart Sirmione at around 16:30, arriving in Jesolo at 19:00.

Embark on a 2.5-hour guided walking tour through the ancient streets of Verona. Visit historical landmarks dating from Roman, medieval, and Renaissance times and learn the history behind each turn from your expert guide. Start your guided walking adventure at the Piazza Bra, surrounded by the first medieval city wall, and see the Renaissance Palazzo Della Gran Guardia and Roman amphitheater. Enjoy a short walk via Mazzini and arrive at the remains of the Roman city wall and gate, called "Porta Borsari." From the Adige river, admire the huge medieval Castelvecchio and its bridge, a reminder of this once-mighty military stronghold. Stop at the old Forum Romanum, transformed into a market square during medieval times. See the old "Corte Sgarzerie," where wool was carded, stamped, and sold. Continue to the Piazza delle Erbe, surrounded by the stunning baroque Maffei Palace and the painted facades of the Mazzanti's houses. Next, pass Juliet's house and admire it from the street. Arrive at Piazza dei Signori and marvel at the statue of Dante in the center. Behind the Della Scala palaces, see the well-preserved tombstones of the old lords of Verona and continue to see Romeo's house. At via Sottoriva, pass old porticoes and bustling local restaurants and head towards Bra Molinari. Visit the only Roman bridge left and enjoy the views of Verona's countryside. From the riverbank, you can see Mount Saint Peter, an Austrian fortress, and the remains of the Roman theater on top.

Meet your driver at the Piazza Bra and head in direction of Lake Garda in an air-conditioned minivan. Depart Lake Garda by bus and journey towards the Dolomites mountain range, stopping en route in the towns of Moena or Cavalese. Upon arrival at noon in Sass Pordoi, Canazei, your guide will inform you about the history of the area. Enjoy some free time for lunch and to soak up the views. Then, visit a typical mountain resort in the afternoon and discover the wood carvings and beautiful wooden buildings of the village of Ortisei. Buy a souvenir from the Dolomites in one of the delightful shops before the return trip to Verona. Concluding the tour, head towards Verona at around 4:30 PM and return to the pickup point between 7 PM and 7:30 PM.
