Explore why Phuket is considered one of Thailand's top foodie hotspots on a walking and tasting tour in the Old Town. Meet your guide outside the famous Ranong Main Market and begin our walking food tour. Treat yourself to more than 15+ different tastings including flaky roti dipped in massaman curry. Continue your culinary adventure with a bowl of rich Hokkien noodles from a little local joint. Discover a local's spot famed for its fresh spring rolls filled with cured pork and topped with sweet sauce. Your guide will take you to a hidden little teashop which serves the local Burmese working community. Here, you'll try Burmese curries, crispy samosas, and other delights accompanied by naans freshly cooked in their wood-fired oven, and washed down with tea. Take a sweet twist and help yourself to a special Phuketian-style iced dessert as you indulge on Thai royal cuisine. Return home with a full belly, having met fun traveller friends along the way. Your local guide can help direct you back to your accommodation.

The Ranong Main Market is located along Ranong Road in the heart of Phuket Old Town. Your guide will be waiting on the steps outside the front of the market. You can use the 'Grab' or 'Bolt' taxi app to get here from all over the island. Otherwise local buses heading for Phuket Old Town often drop guests right outside the market.   • Okay for vegetarians/pescatarians as long as they are okay with 2-3 less tastings (out of 15 total).
  • Note that our regular tour runs at 10:00am and 10:30am, and sometimes we add an extra tour at 12:30pm. Only the 12:30pm doesn't go inside the market (but our earlier tour times do!). Street food vendors take time off too, so not every Phuket food tour will be exactly the same, but fear not, the tour will always be packed with the good stuff!

This tour was an absolute highlight. The tour guide Cat was brilliant, very knowledgeable and great fun as well. She gave us so much information about the food we tried. Highly recommend doing this tour on your first day in Phuket. Cat taught us how to speak common Thai phrases, showed us some Old Phuket town sights and taught us some of the history and culture of Phuket and Thailand. The food places were superbly chosen. Fresh ingredients made from scratch, cooked in front of us and feauturing different types of traditional Thai food. It was so delicious and we were so full. We couldn’t finish all of the meals. Great to try places where the locals eat and that we wouldn’t have chosen ourselves. Can’t recommend this tour enough, must do!
