With James Bond Island in your sights, you’ll spend the day discovering the wonders of magical Phang-nga Bay, Koh Tapu and Khao Ping-gan. Work up an appetite canoeing through sea caves before lunch and then enjoy a leisurely cruise back to Phuket.
What to Expect
Head out on a double-deck fishing boat and embrace the beauty of Phang-nga Bay, with limestone mountains and islets contrasted against the vast expanse of turquoise waters.
On this 7-hour excursion, you’ll enjoy a morning canoe ride to the Bat Cave. It’s not a problem if you don’t know how to paddle, as there’s a paddler assigned to every canoe.
At midday another canoe ride will take you to the interior of beautiful Koh Hong, where you’ll enter a room-like lagoon and see amazing limestone formations in the shape of a piranha sleeping dog, a sitting hermit and an upside-down chicken! This ride is followed by a buffet lunch back on board the big boat while cruising the bay.
The last stop on the tour is at Koh Tapu and Khao Ping-gan, where you can be The Man with The Golden Gun on the same beach where the James Bond movie was shot in 1974.
Then it will be time to cruise back to Phuket. Along the way, if you’re lucky, you’ll see a large flock of local sea hawks flying over the boat.
Note that Phang-nga Bay and its islets are part of a protected national park. Please refrain from littering, touching the walls of caves and collecting natural objects as souvenirs.
