Phuket: Elephant Experience with Lunch or Dinner and Pickup

You will receive confirmation by email at least 5-24 hours before the activity. After pickup at your hotel in Phuket, drive to the elephant sanctuary. Upon arrival, meet the on-site staff and change into a mahout outfit. Enjoy complimentary coffee and cookies before beginning your elephant encounters. Then at 9am, learn about elephants and the local Karen culture from the sanctuary guide. Get a feel for local culture with a tie-dye experience. Learn about Karen techniques for coloring fabrics, then create your own design on a handkerchief-sized cloth. Afterward, sample a “Kanom Krok” dessert, a Thai coconut rice cake. Watch a cooking demonstration, then taste the cake as soon as it’s done. Prepare food for the elephants next. Get their favorite food and vitamins ready, then enjoy feeding them while the sanctuary’s photographers snap pictures of you. Once the elephants’ bellies are full, take a jungle walk to closely observe how your new giant friends behave when surrounded by green nature. Move on from the jungle to the pool and enjoy a mud spa and natural bathing with your elephant buddy. Have fun splashing around with elephants that love playing in the water.
