    Hike the iconic Camelback Mountain with a knowledgeable guide on this private tour. Challenge yourself with trails ascending 1,420 feet to a summit resembling the hump of a camel's back. Be rewarded with 360-degree views of the surrounding city. This is a very tough hike and is not for beginner hikers, those who are not in good hiking shape, or young children. Part of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve, Camelback gets its name from its two rock formations that resemble the head and back of a kneeling camel. This hike takes 2.5 to 3 hours to get to the summit and return to the parking lot. The views are breathtaking and serve as a great opportunity for a photo op. Choose either to get picked up from your location in the Phoenix or Scottsdale area, or meet your guide at the trailhead. The transportation option is available for groups of 6 or more.

    Know before you go

    • Tours are available either with or without transportation from your Phoenix or Scottsdale location and cost does vary
    • Upon arrival, your guide will provide you with a day pack to carry your water and any snacks, cameras, phones, etc. that you would like to bring on the hike
    • Please bring water
    • Hiking boots and athletic wear clothing are suggested but closed-toed athletic shoes are a must
    • Do not wear sandals or jeans
    • Sunscreen is strongly advised along with a hat and good pair of sunglasses
    • Camelback Mountain is a very popular hiking destination so do be prepared for heavily trafficked trails and for the hike to take approximately 2.5 - 3 hours for most groups
