Phoenix des Lumières

Phoenix des Lumières is a digital art center that opened in January 2023 in the historic Phoenixhalle in Dortmund, following the concept of the famous "Atelier des Lumières" in Paris. We use unique, innovative technology to create immersive exhibitions dedicated to some of the most famous artists in history. So embark on an impressive journey where art comes to life and immerse yourself in worlds of colors, shapes, and sounds at Dortmund's new art center, Phoenix des Lumières. Experience an impressive, immersive art experience in the midst of the historic former gas blower hall at Phoenix West in Dortmund. The exhibition tour is an invitation to travel back in time to The Kingdom of the Pharaohs. You will embark on a journey through ancient Egypt, where towering pyramids, legendary pharaohs, and the eternal Nile come to life in a breathtaking blend of light, sound, and impressive images. Marvel at the lively streets and golden deserts that Delacroix and Gérôme depicted in The French Orientalists, and explore Foreign Nature, a surreal mathematical art exhibition in which fractal-generated landscapes transform into otherworldly realms.
