Our trip was lovely! We (my daughters and I) were picked up from our hotel by the nicest guide and we went to a beautiful temple in Phnom Penh. Then we took the ferry to another area and it was beautiful. We got to see the town and watched how to make dried soya bean paste. Our last stop was Silk Island. The silk factory was incredible. We got to see the entire process including the caterpillars making the silk! Our host was lovely. We had some delicious snacks and chatted with her and our guide after our tour. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Phnom Penh.

Full description

We will pick up you from your hotel at Siem Reaper shop in Phnom Penh. We head out of Phnom Penh city by tuk tuk.

After that, you’re set to board the ferry going to Silk Island. Once you arrive, get ready for an exciting adventure that will take you through the countryside, farming villages local market and Buddhist temple of Phnom Penh. Be prepared to experience and observe the local culture and way of life as well as enjoy some breathtaking views of the rural landscape!

Next, we will take a visit to the unique craft of silk weaving. Our local villagers will be able to provide you with an authentic insight into the history of silk weaving in Cambodia, a tradition that has been passed down through generations from parent to child. This is an incredible opportunity to learn more about the culture of this country and experience its rich heritage firsthand.

You can expect to get back to Phnom Penh city around 12:30 pm.

Tintin was the BEST guide! He spoke English very well and was fun to joke around with. This tour ended up being a private tour so we made many additional stops and he went out of his way to show me markets, farms, interact with the locals, get photos, and better understand the Cambodian way. I strongly recommend this tour - the silk factory was my favorite part!
