Full description

Your first stops will be at Monkey Beach, Shark Point, and Runtee Bay. At Monkey Beach, interact with the cute, furry inhabitants — who are absolutely tourist-friendly. These crab-eating macaques live on the cliffs above and scramble down to the beach to find food.  Continue your tour to Mosquito Island, the north-easternmost point in the archipelago. Mosquito Island is also uninhabited and has two beaches rarely visited by tourists. The waters near the southeastern tip host an impressive abundance of marine life, making it a stunning snorkeling spot. Then, head to the famous Viking Cave, with its mysterious prehistoric-like painting resembling a Viking boat.  Be amazed by Pi Leh Lagoon, a turquoise lagoon enclosed by towering limestone cliffs. Escape to paradise as you float in the calm, crystal-clear water. Next, visit Loh Samah Bay, famous for shallow waters and a large coral reef filled with vibrant marine life. Spend some time here snorkeling before hopping back on the long-tail boat.

Sail towards Maya Bay, a paradise made famous by the Leonardo Di Caprio movie The Beach. If you have chosen the afternoon tour, you will enjoy the spectacular sunset views here.

Remark: Maya and Lohsamah bay has been closed from the 1st of August to the 30th of September 2022.

We chose the afternoon option. Unfortunately the weather was not with us, it just rained. But that didn't stop us from enjoying the moment. We started with monkey beach where we could see the monkeys who were calm (do not give them food, it makes them nervous and aggressive). Then we went snorkeling where we could see a lot of fish and corals. We then passed in front of the Viking cave but we did not get off the boat, it can only be visited from the outside. Maya bay being closed for 1 month, we went to the lagoon where you have to pay 200 bath/pers (it's a national park and there are police boats to monitor) where snorkeling is feasible and finally the guide offered us to snorkel again for 40 min. Unfortunately we couldn't see the sunset because of the bad weather and therefore returned at 5pm. But it was a good afternoon and the guides were cool

Nice trip. Unfortunately, the Viking Cave can only be viewed from the outside. “The Beach” is also currently closed to tourists. Beautiful bays for snorkeling are approached, as well as Shark Point. We saw a baby shark here. Unfortunately, our driver didn't speak any English except when it came to the time of the break. So we had to guess where we are at the moment ... there is definitely room for improvement. All in all a successful excursion that lasted a little over 4 hours.

A great trip. Price performance is top. Of course, you have to expect that you are not alone in the attractions (but the organizer cannot help). We got water and food. That was great. The snorkeling was the highlight. The only drawback was that we were picked up at 9:30 and then had to wait 45 minutes before the tour started.
