  • Khao Lak: Sri Phang Nga Canoe and Tam Nang Waterfall Tour

    6. Khao Lak: Sri Phang Nga Canoe and Tam Nang Waterfall Tour

Following pick-up from your hotel in Khao Lak, explore the Sang-Nea River by canoe and discover why it is known as the "Little Amazon." Get the chance to spot wildlife including snakes, monkeys and birds. Browse the local market of Takuapa before heading to Kuraburi. Trek the serene rainforest of Sri Phang Nga National Park and hike to the Tam Nang Waterfall to swim in the cooling pools. Snack on seasonal fresh fruits and other refreshments. Next, enjoy a delicious set menu lunch at a cozy restaurant. Return to Khao Lak, and stop at a unique coffee shop for an aromatic drink and to experience the local herbs at the hot springs along the way.

We had a wonderful excursion with our driver and guide, Ran. The little Amazon canoe ride was really peaceful and beautiful. We saw some snakes sleeping on the trees as well as birds and lizards. The mangrove trees were spectacular. We went to the less visited national park called Sri Phang Nga. We fed quite a few fishes and started our trek (500 m) through the forest. It was quite a gentle trek and our guide (Ran) was very knowledgeable and showed us the flora and fauna as we were walking. The Tam Nang waterfall was spectacular and was in full flow as it was the rainy season. It was very impressive as we felt the spray from the water. It is one of the highest falls in Khao Lak. After a lovely lunch in the national park we went to the Romannee Hot Springs. It was therapeutic and relaxing but we had to be careful with the hottest pools!! It was a lovely experience though. I will recommend this itinerary as an alternative to staying on the beach.

My girlfriend and I were lucky since there were only two of us that day. Our guide, who spoke English very well, and our driver were very nice. The day was very worth it because you could really immerse yourself in nature. Be it the canoe tour or the waterfall in the national park. (Tip: take something to feed the fish for the waterfall) Unfortunately we could not go to the hot springs due to bad weather. However, the response was quick and we were offered a tour of the temple, which was worth it. It was a great day. Many thanks to the guide and the driver!

Very good tour with a fantastic driver guide team

The tour offered a very good price-performance ratio for the money, each station was a highlight in itself, a lot was explained, there was a lot to laugh about and our wishes were met. Compared to other tours, the tour booked through GyG is much more personal and therefore better.

We had a wonderful day with your guide today, with many wonderful moments! We felt the enthusiasm of our tour guide very much. He had told and shown us many interesting things about the country of Thailand and nature. We are very satisfied!

Lovely with a private guide who took the time to tell in great detail about the local conditions along the way. A great experience and best recommendations from here.

Our guide Wirathon has given us a great day. It was varied and the individual needs were taken into account.
