Full description

Begin with a pickup from your accommodation in Amman and head off on the 225-kilometer journey to the ancient city of Petra. Upon arrival, take a stroll through Al-Siq, a narrow and deep pathway that acts as the main entrance into Petra.

Inside, admire the Al-Khazneh, where elegant remains of antiquity can be found carved deep into the rocks. See the monastery, Altar of Sacrifice, Street of Facades, Royal Tombs, and more. After soaking up all the sights, continue the tour towards Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon.

Next, head to Wadi Rum, the filming location of blockbuster movies such as Lawrence of Arabia and The Martian. Allow yourself to be transported into this other-worldly landscape. Embark on an adventurous 4x4 safari ride through the desert and visit several sites including Nabatean Temple.

Later, stop at a picturesque Bedouin for a refreshing cup of Arabic tea or coffee and the opportunity to mingle with the locals. Finally, gaze upon a breathtaking sunset across the silky desert plains before beginning the return journey to Amman.

I was very hqppy with our driver. I expected have a guide tour and I just pay for transportation to Petra . Next he drove to wadi rum to ride in a car . It was so fun . Those places are far from the hotel . The price is fine to be there for the activities on time.

We had a really great time with Shadi who was our driver and professional and kind at all times. He made our trip even more pleasant. We left for Petra around 8:10 but I would recommend to leave earlier to have more time to enjoy the site as the trip to Petra is 4h long and the visit at least 3h. We had time to go to Wadi Rum for the Jeep Tour at the back which was superb! I highly recommend.

Overall, it was an excellent activity. Our day started with the prompt pick up of our ride. It’s basically a ride to Petra, the ride was scenic and our driver was very kind to make stops for some photography and also restroom breaks. We did not hire a guide at Petra. It’s doable without a guide but we paid 10JD for the guy who brought us up to the spot - short hike up to get our photos with Petra as backdrop. Wadi Rum was short, seen 4-5 good spots for photography in a 4x4 ride and brought us back for pick up then drive back to hotel. Overall though, I enjoyed the whole trip!
