Staying in Flores to visit the archaeological sites of Petén and take tours like this one, I consider the best option since the transfer times and services available in Flores are very good and I am very satisfied with the fulfillment of what was promised in the contract. The tours were very interesting, Tikal seemed very enriching culturally for its constructions in very distant periods of the Mayan culture as can be seen with the "Great Central Plaza" and "Mundo Perdido" plaza, another important aspect in Tikal is its national park which makes the environment very pleasant, allowing you to enjoy nature. The distance and road conditions are good and on its way I had the opportunity to get to know the region around the Petén Itzá and observe how its inhabitants live. The facilities at the entrance like shops and restaurants are very clean and pleasant. The trails between the sites visited in the ruins impressed me with their cleanliness.

On the morning of the trip, the local operator did not contact us and in the end were 1.5hrs late - a taxi then took us to the ruins where we were greeted by the Tikal tour guides - our guide was really knowledgeable and friendly and also gave us plenty of time to walk around and let us decide which parts were of interest to spend our time in. The lunch was great onsite and we were glad we visited this beautiful place. We complained about the late pick-up and GetYourGuide were amazing and gave us a part refund for the inconvenience caused and were in contact very quickly after us sending through the feedback. I've used many booking sites and I will always continue to use GetYourGuide - the local operator may have been late but the way GYG dealt with it was exceptional service.

It was a great day trip. The pick-up from the airport was on time and Edy our guide was fabulous. He had a good sense of humor and answered our questions patiently. He gave us adequate time to visit and enjoy each of the sites on our own. Even lunch inside the park was good with lots of option to satisfy everyone.
