I went with my son and a friend to visit the Petersen Auto Museum. It was a first for all of us. No matter what your level of interest is in "things automotive," this collection is a real treat. A blend of the old and the new, classic and everyday rides, and staple and concept cars, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The section on the history of Elon Musk and the Tesla brand is a fascinating journey through the mind of an automotive and engineering genius. We did not visit the famous Vault collection of cars which is an extra attraction, so we we have a good reason to return for another look. The McLaren collection is another bonus for race car enthusiasts. On another note, the museum is near the Fairfax Farmer's Market which is an LA historical landmark where one can buy a variety of specialty cuisine and novelty items. I wish parking were cheaper at the Petersen. It actually doubles the price of admission. In spite of this, I highly recommend a visit to the Petersen Museum.

The private tour guides were outstanding and had very interesting stories- they have a heart for these cars and their histories! The food at the restaurant was excellent! Highly recommend investing in a private tour. The fried trumpet mushrooms were a unique and outstanding appetizer! All of the volunteers and paid staff were very professional. It's easy to see why the Petersen has been awarded the best museum in the United States several times!

The self guided Vault tour had very knowledgable staff that clearly were passionate about their work and didn't rush us when we had a few questions. I would definitely recommend including the vault tour to your museum experience.

Beautiful auto retrospective! Make sure you have at least four hours to visit! I had a lot fun visiting with my daughter!

Amazing! Got to see all of LA with the help of Sean and shay. Fab tour guides.
