Trek into the Amazon rainforest on a 4-day, 3-night adventure in the Tambopata National Reserve. Check out exotic species of flora and fauna, go canoeing and kayaking, and experience this lush landscape on a tour out of time. Enjoy full transfer service from the airport. Your tour starts with the airport pickup. Feel the excitement as you are taken to a lodge 4.5 km from the city at the bank of Tambopata River. After getting your bearings, take an introductory walk through the jungle. Keep your eyes open for monkeys, birds, butterflies and other species. Learn about the importance of this area to the locals. Day 2: take off for Sandoval lake in the Tambopata National Reserve, a 3 km walk. Navigate around this oxbow lake by dugout canoe, learning about the ecosystem. With luck you'll see monkeys, squirrels, lizards, black caimans, birds, giant river otters, and perhaps one of the biggest water fish, the paiche. Explore the jungle at night searching for tarantulas, frogs, and chirping bugs. Get your adrenaline pumped for fun on Day 3, when you'll visit Monkey Island. Walk the canopy bridge high in the trees, as well as the zipline. Go kayaking on the river and wall-climbing. On the final day, enjoy stunning lake Yacumama, where piranha fishing is almost a sure thing and you can observe small macaws and storks.
