Full description
Start your day in Perth with a coffee/tea, and a dash of culture, art, and history. Discover hidden art, laneways, secret gardens, amazing cafes and learn about the local history while exploring the city. Your friendly local guide will escort you to one of the most significant structures in Perth, the State Buildings. Formerly home to the General Post Office, Land Titles Office, Treasury, and Parliament this complex contains 120 years of stories. These days, the State Buildings are home to many quality food and beverage venues. The tour will explore the heritage precinct of Perth, the old theatre district, as well as former educational precincts. Enjoy a coffee/tea at a popular local cafe (included) and enjoy wonderfully re-purposed heritage spaces. The tour concludes with a delicious treat at Elizabeth Quay, the waterfront precinct located on the tranquil Swan River. There were only 2 other people in our group (in total there were 5 of us). This was an easy walk with interesting facts about the history of Perth, and showed us some amazing artwork in the library and in the laneways. We got some delicious coffee and dessert on the way too. Our tour guide was Ann. She was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. She even stayed afterward to help us plan our next two days in Perth.

Brilliant way to explore Perth!

One of the most enjoyable things we did whilst in Perth. It’s so easy to walk around a city and think you’ve seen it, but do this walking and see behind the facades and learn about it’s history, warts and all. We had a wonderful morning, walking, laughing, learning, making new friends and drinking coffee - doesn’t get much better. Thanks goes to our wonderful guide Iris!

Kate was excellent. Great commentary with great knowledge. She catered to all in the group including getting 2 people, who had to leave the group on time to go to another tour, to a point closest to their next tour start point.
