Enjoy a full-day adventure to Rottnest Island with ferry transfers from Perth or Fremantle, a 1.5-hour discovery bus tour, and free time to explore.  When booking, select your ferry departure location, either Perth or Fremantle. From Perth, you’ll enjoy a scenic 1-hour cruise with live commentary along the Swan River to Fremantle before heading to the island. Alternatively, join the ferry at Fremantle for a 25-minute ride to Rottnest Island.  Then embark on a 1.5-hour discovery bus tour where you will circumnavigate the whole Island and see all of its great sites and views. Relax on the air-conditioned bus and enjoy the beauty and splendor of Rottnest Island's natural landscape. The passionate and knowledgeable guides will share with you all the best stories about the Island. It has a rich cultural and social history and you will get their expert interpretation.  After your tour, you have free time on the island to explore independently. You could perhaps rent a bike (at your own cost) or go swimming off one of the white-sand beaches before catching the return ferry back to Perth or Fremantle.

We were rather alarmced at a middle-aged couple in the front row of the bus, who were continuously coughing, without masks. Given that Covid is still around, you should have a rule that persons with such symptoms are only allowed to participate if they wear masks. As it happens, all 3 of my party (seated immediately behind, and to the left of the sick couple), came down with bad colds a few days later. My cold even became a severe sinus infection. This very much affected the enjoyment of the 2nd week of our trip.

Very informative. More time could have been given to indigenous history of the area rather than real estate prices( during the ferry ride). The commentary during the swan river cruise completely over rode the indigenous people video clip played during the the swan river cruise which made it look like a token gesture. Beautiful weather on our trip but would have been good to have been advised about timings of the bus tour as we would have loved to do the train ride and tour of the battery and tunnels on the island. More spontaneous information on the sad history of the island would have been appreciated.

Great day. Although it rained I had a really good day. I had planned to walk around the island a bit after the bus tour, and visit a beach but the rain stopped that. Instead I spent a couple of hours just wandering around The Settlement and Thomson bay lots to see and do there.
