Our guide, Truman was outstanding! I am a PA native and a history lover; notably the civil war. I have been to Gettysburg many times and have had numerous guided tours. I have never been disappointed, but our guide Truman made the battlefield tour come to life! Not only was he very knowledgeable about the battles, his attention to detail provided the best understanding I’ve experienced as to the movement and orientation of each day’s battles. His enthusiasm also made the guided tour a most memorable one, that I would highly recommend.

What people are saying about Pennsylvania

Truman was our guide and he was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable that hubby and I were on "information overload"!! Lol! The tour lasted close to 2.5 hours because Truman, hubby and I ended the tour just chatting about the Battle. Be forewarned though, that because of COVID he wasn't able to ride/drive in our car. He led us in his car and we connected via cellphone speakerphone. My car is equipped with a hand free system so it was like listening to the radio tutorial, so it worked out just fine. Hubby was a little distracted from listening to Truman because he had to focus on driving. If it wasn't for hubby having to drive, the experience would have been perfect!!!

Richard was fantastic, very knowledgeable and wasn't bothered by answering questions that we had. As someone who has done the self driving tour which can get confusing, Richard was great at pointing out landmarks to make more sense out of what actually happened at Gettysburg.

We had the best tour guide he was very informative joke with us we had the best time with Rich 8f you are ever in Gettsburg and want a private tour Rich is your guy we will go again and ask for Rich, we had a wonderful stay in Gettsburg!!

We had an excellent two-hour battleground tour with Truman Eyler. His wealth of knowledge, plain-spoken way, and communication skills are excellent. I highly recommend using registered battlefield guides for your tour of Gettysburg.

Truman Eyler was over the top great! He’s a real scholar on Gettysburg. He made the battlefield come to life!
