Absolutely loved our day out to Peniscola from Salou. Picked up at exactly 9am outside the Lazy wave bar and greeted by our guide - the lovely Janine. She was a pleasure to be around, spoke many different languages and is a gem!! The coach is comfortable and excellent air conditioning at all times. Enough stops (one is enough time for a cappuccino) and we got to see flamingo's - Yay!! When you land at Peniscola, approx 12.30pm Janine offers you to join her whilst she walks to the top and tells you lots of information on the way up. Beautiful streets and views all the way to the castle. You are free to wander about and grab a bite to eat and you all meet up at the drop off point at 4.30pm. We arrived back at the lazy wave at exactly 6pm. Highly recommend this excursion...so much so when we visit again, we will be booking on it for a second time.

It was a nice trip, I would have liked more time with the flamingos and a photo stop at the rice fields. The tour guide was very good and explained a lot.
