Quite chaotic beginning, it is not easy to find the right local tour operator to exchange the voucher received for a ticket. Lots of tourists and various tour operators, the right little house, so-called office is not easy to find. So make sure to arrive much earlier! The crossing to the island is an experience in itself. When the waves are high, you will be rocked through properly. Our (tomorrow's) tour was accompanied by a lot of fog, which according to the locals is relatively common. Afterwards the hike through the island is very exciting, absolutely great view! The actual glass bottom boat trip was relatively modest, about 30 minutes in length, limited and not very interesting insight into the lake, the guide spoke Portuguese English, hardly understandable.

I traveled to the Berlengas Islands on a Berlengatur catamaran. The way out is against the waves and many of the people who were on the upper deck got dizzy, the return was great, I even enjoyed the journey. You visit the largest of the islands in a small boat, and you have the option of getting off at the castle to visit it and walk back to the port, that's what we did, you have to go up a fairly vertical path but I recommend it because the views from there they are spectacular.

The tour was good with friendly staff and an interesting tour on the island. One thing to watch out for is that the tour is listed as 10-2pm (4hrs) - or in our case 11am-3pm as the seas were choppy. Note that the 10am and 2pm times are the times that the boats leave each harbour and the crossing is c.45mins so you should budget 5 hours instead of 4.
