Great Experience, would highly recommend and staff were amazing. The boat we booked originally had a problem but the staff quickly resolved this by arranging another (their speedboat.) This was a very exhilarating and exciting experience. We were a little disappointed that we were unable to do the cave tour due to the sea conditions (understandable) but received a partial refund for this. We walked down to the fort which was a sublime place. This is a must do activity, will definitely do it again!!!

Full description

Discover the archipelago of Berlengas on a day trip from Peniche. Cross the sea in a glass-bottom boat, explore the caves on a tour, and relax on the beach.

Begin your day with a ferry ride to the Berlegnas archipelago on a catamaran (normal season) or zodiak/desportive yatch on the low season (less people) or when the catamaran it's full on the high season. As you ride, enjoy views beneath the waves of flitting fish. When you disembark, stroll on the warm beaches and enjoy the sounds of the waves calmly lapping at the shore.

Join a local hiking tour to learn about Berlenga’s cultural and historical significance. Explore the island's geography. After your hike, go into the mysterious caves of the area before returning by ferry.

Look for three houses on top of a wooden platform, one of which is the Feeling Berlenga office. The local provider representative will be wearing a light blue t-shirt or a dark blue sweatshirt. Please arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes before the departure of the ferry (10:00 AM if the morning time is selected or 2:30 PM if the afternoon time is selected).

  • The tour depends on sea conditions, and it must meet the minimum number of people required to operate
  • The tour will be done on a catamaran from April to October or in a semi-rigid boat or sports yacht from November to March. The boat used may also vary based on other factors, including the availability on the day
  • The catamaran typically takes 30 minutes to reach the island, and the semi-rigid or sports yacht takes 25 minutes, depending on sea conditions
  • If the group includes multiple languages, the guide will speak first in Portuguese, then in English, then in Spanish

Great tour to a beautiful island, nice catamaran boat ride and smaller boat ride to caves.. The guide was friendly and informative. The fort was neat to see and a great hike back to the boat dock. A good value for a fun afternoon. There was confusion about getting the island pass when we booked the tour, but we didn’t end up needing them that day because the system was down. Not sure how we would have gotten the pass if it had been needed because we were not able to pay with a bank transfer which the website required.
