Full description
Journey straight to the Port Campbell National Park to be amazed by the iconic limestone formations including the stunning 12 Apostles. Here enjoy time to wander the boardwalks and descend the stairs to Gibson Steps where you will feel dwarfed by the enormous offshore stacks. Hear the tale of the Loch Ard shipwreck from which the Stunning Loch Ard Gorge takes it name. Immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of the Otway Ranges’ cool temperate rainforest before a quick photo stop at the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch. Then, journey along the winding cliff-side Great Ocean Road, making plenty of stops to take photos of stunning panoramic views, visit glorious beaches, and charming coastal towns. In the morning of the second day, board the ferry for a 1-hour journey across Port Phillip Bay to the Mornington Peninsula. Look out for seals and dolphins. Experience a guided tour of the multi-award-winning Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park where you’ll learn about Australia’s native fauna. You will even have the opportunity to hand-feed kangaroos & wallabies, as well as see the cute koalas, wombats, dingoes and many other unique Aussie animals up close. On Phillip Island, take a walk along the boardwalks at the Nobbies before arriving at Summerland Beach to experience the world-famous Penguin Parade. Each day after sunset, these incredible animals emerge from the surf and cross the sand before your very eyes to make their way through the sand dunes to their homes.
