The Tijuca Forest is one of the largest urban forests in the world and is located in the limits of the National Park of Tijuca. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has a rich diversity of natural beauty, historical attractions and eco-tourism known worldwide. The trail and Bico do Papagaio rappel begins at the entrance gate of the Tijuca National Park and includes trails through the Mata Atlântica forest, a trip to the visitor center, park museum, Cachoeira das Almas and the trail and rappel at Bico do Parrot. The trek goes on as far as the base of the mountain, where you will find a few more natural obstacles, and a more rugged and steep climb. From the summit of Bico do Papagaio you can enjoy the main mountains of the Tijuca National Park, such as Pico da Tijuca, Pedra do Conde, Cocanha, Pedra Bonita and Pedra da Gávea, as well as Sumaré and a small part of Corcovado and Cristo Re...

Had an awesome hiking and rapelling (we actually did it twice :)) ) experiece with my guide Diogo. He is super energetic and full of positive energy. He is very knowledgeable about the Tijuca National Park and its ecosystem as well. At the end of the activity, the shower at the natural waterfall "cachoeira das almas" is just the icing on the cake. Thanks a lot to my guide Diogo for making my day. If you book this activity ask for him as your guide. You wont be dissapointed. Highly reccomended :)

A walk of high physical demand that we could do with 73 and 70 years

The high physical requirement should be highlighted on the tour website. Highlight the beautiful view at the top of Pedra Bonita and the peculiar characteristics of witnessing the apron of the Ala-Deltista and users of "paragliders". The professionalism and kindness of the Eitor guide who supported, step by step, my 70-year-old lady and thus successfully completed the entire journey is highlighted and recognized. both in the ascent and in the descent.

Amazing experience, great easy hiking with great views.
