The trip from Auckland to Rotorua is a MUST DO! I personally chose the Wai O Tapu and Maori exploration. Wai O Tapu is amazing, there are so many different colours! It was very interesting to learn about the Maoris and their culture. JJ the guide was very good and friendly.

I actually wanted to go to Waioa Cave, but it was already fully booked, so I reluctantly went on this tour! The geothermal energy of Waiotapu was even better than I expected and it was a valuable experience. As for the spa, the open-air bath with a great view was amazing.

It was a very early pickup, 5:45 am! But it was so worth it. The Māori village and performance is a must see! Rotorua is a cute town full of restaurants. The hot springs spa is a great addition if you can squeeze everything into the day!

It is a beautiful tour of the geysers and the Maori culture and the hot springs are a delight but I would suggest more time because it is short time. The guide JJ is very kind and patient.
