Tayrona National Park

Hike through the tropical forest, admiring the local flora and fauna. Rest by a beach, swimming, and taking photos with the views behind you. Leave from Santa Marta early in the morning by bus. Travel to the entrance of Tayrona and wait for the doors to open at the box office. Watch a short informative video of 20 minutes with recommendations for the care of the park during your visit. Once the video is finished, begin the ecological walk-through trails that cross the tropical forest. Walk alongside trees that are over 25 meters high and pass beaches on the route through Cañaveral, Arrecifes, Arenilla, and Piscina Natural. Take a break at Cabo San Juan, a beach with transparent waters. Relax under the sun, enjoy a refreshing swim, and buy a delicious lunch made by the locals. Rest here for 3 hours and go up to the viewpoint to enjoy a unique view of this fantastic place. Return along the same trail until you reach the bus and head back to Santa Marta where the driver will drop you off at the same meeting points.

We will meet at Charter dock in Marina Internacional de Santa marta 9:30 am Cant wait past 9:50 for passenger as other boats use same dock. 10am we will motor upwind arriving approximately 11:30 am to Bahia Concha. You will experience stunning views from on board passing from a distance (no stopping) Taganga Bay, Granate Bay, Aguja Island. At Bahia Concha the boat will anchor. Yo can hang out on board, swim to beach or we can take you with our auxiliary boat. Please ask for prices before purchasing anything with beach vendors. You can use the paddle boards and snorkel equipment available. Lunch will be served approximately 90 minute after arriving. You will enjoy the day at one of the biggest beaches in Tayrona Park. By 3:30 pm everyone should be back on board to begin our return doing some motor sailing and only sailing ( genoa only) wind permitting and returning to the marina between 4:30pm - 5:00pm where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset Santa Marta is famous for. Our destination is Bahia Concha. ( no other stops) Feb 1-15, June 1-15, Oct 19-Sep 3 Tayrona park closes, we will visit taganga half day and inca inca half day.

We will meet at 9:30 am at the charter station of the International Marina of Santa Marta, where you can take photos with a spectacular landscape in the background and we look forward to all our fellow experiences. At 10 am we will board our boat, the Tranquila, heading to our destination in Tayrona Park. Sailing to our first stop will take 10 min. We will anchor in the Remanso, where we will snorkel for approximately 40 minutes, then we return to the boat to reach our second stop, Granate the best snorkel spot in all of Tayrona Park, where you can see if we are lucky a couple of turtles that live there among other species. We will sail to Concha Bay to relax and enjoy the largest bay in the park. Our co-travelers can choose between swimming, beach walking, snorkeling, or just sunbathing. As we prepare for lunch a delicious lunch based on fresh fish. At 4:30 pm we will start our return to Santa Marta, we will pass through Taganga Bay with very good music to celebrate that you came to spend the day with us.

The journey begins from your hotel where we will pick you up and, by van or bus, transport us to the Zaino area, a journey that lasts approximately one (1) hour. Once in the Tayrona National Natural Park, we will begin a two-hour walk and enjoy the flora and fauna on a route that will take us to the beaches of Canaveral, San Fernando, La gumarra, Arrecifes, Arenilla, La Piscina Natural and El Cape San Juan del Guía. Luxuriate in the golden sunshine as you take in lush flora set against the Sierra Nevada Mountains.  Hike along the coast from Cañaveral, pause at the boulder-strewn Playa Arrecife known for its powerful currents, and continue on to La Piscina. Enclosed with rocks, and mild and shallow, this pool is ideal for swimmers of varying skill levels. Playa Brava sits off the beaten path, a secluded beach nestled amid lush vegetation. Tranquil and serene, it is quieter compared to the highly popular Cabo de San Juan beach. To sunbathe on white sands and snorkel in clear water, walk to Playa Cristal and nibble on grilled seafood as well. Playa Cabo de San Juan, a verdant paradise, is the park’s main attraction. Giant palms wave along the shore and massive boulders rise out of the water. Swim and settle down to a traditional Caribbean lunch afterwards. Sunbathe in the golden sunshine and end your day on a glittering high.

We will meet at 8:30 am at Marina Internacional de Santa Marta. From there we will leave in my boat to the Tayrona Park, specifically to the Bay of Cinto. During this 1.5 hour sea tour you will be able to see the Tayrona bays from the sea with the Sierra Nevada in the background. When we arrive at Cinto, we can walk along a paradisiacal beach, sunbathe or snorkel. We will visit the old mother, a river mouth full of crabs and other animals. At 12 am we will get back on the boat and we will go to Playa Cristal, very famous for its transparent waters, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch on the seashore. We will bathe and do a little snorkeling. At 3 pm we will return to the boat to visit Bahía Concha. We will enjoy the sea and its white sand. At 4.30 we will start our return to the Marina Internacional de Santa Marta where we can watch the sunset while having a cold drink.

Our tour begins picking you up at your hotels to start our wonderful trip to the city of Santa Marta, where we will offer you a light breakfast to start our tour to the Tayrona Park we will receive a talk about the conservation of the environment; You will also have the visit to the viewpoint Playa Siete Olas, the entrance to Playa Neguanje and transportation by boat to Playa Cristal. Lunch will be typical with fish, patacón, rice with coconut and salad, with a choice of grilled chicken or beef. You will always have the guide accompanying you throughout the activity. We will return to Cartagena at approximately 4:00 pm to arrive at the hotels at 9:00 pm. Departures are on Tuesdays and Fridays

Beautiful hike to Cabo San Juan in Tayrona National Nature Park. Perfect program for lovers of ecotourism.Enjoy magnificent panoramas and crystal clear beaches during approx. 2,5hrs walk along the coast of Tayrona. We will visit Arrecifes, the beautiful beach La Piscina ideal to swim, take a rest. After La Piscina we’ll continue to Cabo San Juan, a crystal clear beach ideal for relaxing, snorkeling, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Cabo San Juan offers a good restaurant, where you can have lunch. Around 13:30 is time to start walking back.

At the indicated time, we'll collect participants from the various pickup points in Santa Marta. From there, we'll begin our journey to the Tayrona National Natural Park. After a 1.5-hour drive, we'll arrive at the entrance of Tayrona National Natural Park, where we'll watch an explanatory video with tips on how to enjoy the natural environment responsibly. Afterwards, we'll return to the vehicle to go to the viewpoint of Playa 7 Olas. Have you brought your camera? There'll be plenty of great photo opportunities! We'll continue the excursion to Playa Neguanje and later to Playa Cristal - also known as Playa del Muerto and considered the best beach in the park! Back on dry land, it's time to relax and enjoy yourself! You'll have 5 hours of free time to take a refreshing swim, bask in the sun, hire snorkelling equipment and, of course, refuel with a wholesome lunch! After we're fed and feeling relaxed, we'll meet up again and begin our journey back to Santa Marta, where we'll conclude our tour after 9 hours of activity in total.
