This circuit we leave the town of Velas, we continue to the Forest Reserve of Sete Fontes, better known as Parque das Sete Fontes, located in the town of Rosais, the main interest being the viewpoints with magnificent panoramic views, where we see the neighboring islands and north coast of the island of São Jorge. After our beautiful park visit we move on to The Cheese Factory called Unioão das Cooperativas da Beira, where you will taste the diferent aged cheeses. A Guided tour of the factory is avalible. Tickets for purchase at the factory(5 euros/person) We continue on to Norte Grande, where we pass through the following places, Toledo and Santo António, when we arrive to the town of Norte Grande, we will find the Miradouro do Norte Grande, that offers splendid view of great part of the north coast of the island of São Jorge. Norte grand has several fajãs, Fajã do Ouvidor and Fajã da Ribeira de Areia. that by its size and quantity of inhabitants,they are among the most important fajãs of the island of São Jorge.also belonging to Norte Grande are the villages of Santo António and Ribeira da Areia. View point of Faja Dos Cubres and Caldeira santo Cristo is the next stop, one of the most stunning places on the Island. Then we continue towards Calheta, where we pass through the town of the Norte Pequeno and some localities. Arriving in Calheta, Here we stop for the lunch break. (Lunch not included). the Next stop in our tour is the Coffee Plantaion. The fisrt coffee in Europe to be produced from start to finish. Here you have the oportunity to purchace the local coffee and traditional sweets. Here we take a step back in time and see how life was lived in the old days, visiting the Plantaion and handy craft where they grow the Coffee and make quilts as they have over 100 years. Making our way to Topo to see the Ilheu do Topo, the light house and viewpointo of Faja de Sao Joao.On our way down to velas we see the Viewpoint of Manadas, here we have a wondeful view of Manadas, Terreiros, Urzelina and Queimada. making our way back to velas. This tour Can start from diferent places on the Island if needed. This is our baseline, tour stops and locals to visit are dynamically changed depending of each group preferences and stop times. Decent to two of our famous fajãs is included. At the end of the Tour Time we go to the Dropoff place.
