Our tour guide, Gabriella had a fantastic personality and did a wonderful job communicating the historical details to our group. The process for checking in at the main Get Your Guide office was seamless as was the entry into the Palace. Unlike many other tours, headsets were provided ensuring that you didn't miss out on any key information along the way. The tour length of 1 1/2 hours was just the right amount of time. Afterwards, we grabbed a drink and visited the gardens. We grabbed a sandwich and drink in town at Aux Pains De La Ferme (highly recommend) prior to the tour. Count on half a day if you'd like to take in a bit of the city and spend time exploring the grounds after the tour. These type of tours are better suited for teenagers and adults and young children will likely find it overwhelming.

Was a great tour of the palace. Just a quick walk from the meeting place and no line up at the entrance. Laetitia took us around the main area and explained the layout and important historical events that took place - the French really knew how to do things back in the day. The tour was just the right amount of time - not too long and not too short. We were able to explore more after the tour was done, including checking out the gardens after.

The palace is huge, but the experience just shows you the 3 main areas (Kings rooms, hall of mirrors and queens rooms). Not sure if there are many other areas to explore as well. The hall of mirrors is beautiful, and not much difference between the rooms. We could not understand the guide since her French accent was so thick that it was overcoming the English she was speaking. The gardens are beautiful, but better to visit in June/July when the fountains are working and they are in full flow. Overall, a good way to spend half a day when in Paris.
