Know before you go

  • The time on your voucher is the meeting time at our shop (the tour starts a few minutes later). Please arrive on time, as late arrivals cannot be refunded or guaranteed Palace access, and rescheduling fees will apply
  • The palace gardens are free only from November to March, with no tickets needed. There are no fountain shows during this period
  • The gardens close at 5:30 PM from November to March
  • After the tour you can stay in the palace until closing time
  • The gardens may close without notice due to bad weather conditions
  • During peak times the palace can be crowded and there may be a short wait at the group entrance
  • From Paris, take the train to "Versailles Château Rive Gauche". Be sure to purchase a Metro-Train-RER ticket (€2.50 for a standard fare or €1.25 for a reduced fare)
  • If you come with a wheelchair, it is mandatory to bring assistance, as the guide isn't allowed to push the chair
  • Baby strollers could be refused at the entrance of the palace

Osvaldo was great. Knowledgeable and interesting. He paced the tour well. However, the palace was PACKED - there was a ridiculous number of people in there and it was impossible to really enjoy what we were seeing. We were there at Christmas time. Not sure if it’s ever better. Without the tour it would have been very disappointing. With the tour, at least we learned a few things.
