We had a great experience. Our guide was Milan, and he was very good. We started on time but from the meeting point to the palace is about 10-15 mins walk. It was raining good thing my jacket had hood. There were street vendors selling umbrella for $10 which is crazy lol. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and go to the restroom before the tour because you will only get to do it after the whole thing. Thanks to our guide, Milan, we learned a lot from the tour and he even took a great picture of us at the hall of mirrors.

Tour was extremely professional and perfectly executed. Instructions were clear and she made the whole experience easy from start to finish. The palace was still extremely crowded but I never felt like that was a problem with our guide leading the way. The mile long line for tickets made me so glad to have booked ahead. Definitely recommend.

From booking to ending the tour was very straight forward. The train ride from Paris to Versailles is very easy on the C line costing 7.30 euro return. Just ensure you get on the train going to Versailles Chateau! The GetYourGuide office is very close to the train station at Versailles. The staff were great explaining the meet time & location for the guide. We had time to have lunch walking the streets of Versailles before the tour. Versailles is very clean & much quieter compared to Paris. The tour guide Gabriella was excellent with a great sense of humour & happy to poke fun at the French!. Gabriella was very knowledgeable about the French history & her passion for it. The Palace is opulent and it shows even in the past humans liked to show off! The only downside was that the garden s were being refurbished and the outdoor statues were all covered up assuming they had been cleaned and were getting ready for the Olympics in 2024. The fountains were not working either - a real shame.
