Check in at the GetYourGuide shop, located across the street from the RER line C Versailles Château Rive Gauche train station. Take the Avenue de Paris exit at the train station and find the office across the street next to the Café Madeleine. The train from Paris to Versailles takes approximately 1 hour. Versailles Château Rive Gauche train station will be closed between July 15 - August 20, 2022. Instead, you will need to take a different route from Paris. There are two options with public transport: 1. Take a train to the Versailles Rive Droite train station. Take line L via Saint Lazare or La Défense. Then, it's a 25-minute walk to the GetYourGuide shop. 2. Take a train to the Versailles Chantiers station. Take line N via Montparnasse or line U via La Défense. Then, it's a 15-minute walk to the GetYourGuide shop.

Know before you go
- After the tour, you are allowed to stay in the gardens until they close
- The palace gardens are free from November to March. Prices have been adjusted accordingly. No garden tickets are required to visit on these dates
- There are no musical or fountain shows on days when the gardens are free
- The gardens close at 5:30 PM on certain dates (May 27, every Saturday between June 10 and September 23, July 14, August 15, October 29, and October 31) and from November through March
- During peak times the palace can be very crowded and there may be a short wait at the group entrance
- The group can be up to 27 people
