Hear about the fascinating historical events that took place in many of the palace’s rooms, before stepping out to explore the vast gardens complex with your guide or on your own.     • After the tour, you are allowed to stay in the gardens until they close
    • The palace gardens are free from November to March. Prices have been adjusted accordingly. No garden tickets are required to visit on these dates
    • There are no musical or fountain shows on days when the gardens are free
    • The gardens close at 5:30 PM on certain dates (May 27, every Saturday between June 10 and September 23, July 14, August 15, October 29, and October 31) and from November through March
    • During peak times the palace can be very crowded and there may be a short wait at the group entrance
    • The group can be up to 27 people

    The staff were very helpful in rectifying our issue with being delayed due to the rail strikes taking place on the day. The gentlemen behind the desk called while en route to check up on us and was able to fit us in for the following your an hour later so we could still enjoy the experience. He was helpful, kind, respectful and resourceful. Gabriella led our tour and she was friendly and engaging. It was a great opportunity to spot little details and learn things you would never come across without a tour. Lots of facts given and information learned.

    This tour was fantastic and it all started with our tour guide Lara. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the information in the tour that it made the tour that much better. The palace and the gardens are a vision one must go see but if you are going to do a tour ask for Lara it will make the experience that much better.

    What a great tour especially having Laura as our tour guide! Our original tour got cancelled so we had to book something last minute which was this tour - and so glad we did! From beginning to end, Laura made it so easy to understand the history and create an incredible story for us that was captivating. She knew SO much information and could answer all of our questions. She even gave us recommendations on places to see at Versailles at the end of the tour. It was 90 minutes long and flew by!
