Full description

Head in faster and see art from an expert’s perspective. Over 2 hours, skip the ticket line and follow a smart route through the Louvre with your guide.  Get up close to the Venus de Milo, the sculpture that inspired so many artists. Next, head over to visit the Mona Lisa where your guide will explain the history behind the infamous painting. On top of this, see The Winged Victory of Samothrace, the famous Hellenistic statue carved in the form of Nike, the Greek goddess of victory. Your guide will take you to see all the big stuff, as well as underrated gems visitors often miss. In the basement of the Louvre Palace see the foundations of the castle that once stood on the site and learn the history behind it all. After the tour, feel free to explore the museum on your own for as long as you like. Your guide will be happy to provide you with personal tips.

Our first time in Paris so we booked a guided tour to the Louvre. It was great to skip the line as it was very long! Our tour guide was Miriam, she was fantastic. She showed us the highlights starting off with Mona Lisa. She gave a lot of history surrounding the Mona Lisa, which was fascinating. Then we moved on to see many other paintings and sculptures. It is such an incredibly huge place so we would have loved to see more, but the highlights gave a good overview. Miriam was lovely and had a very detailed knowledge of all the paintings and sculptures we looked at. The only down side is we didn't have ear pieces so at times we couldn't hear her very well, as the place is so huge and noisy. It was definitely worth having a tour guide though. I don't think we would have enjoyed the Louvre as much without our tour guide!

We had a great tour if the Louvre. Aurelia is an effervescent, peppy and knowledgeable guide and took us expertly through the highlights. 45 mins to view the Mona Lisa was the downside, but then 40,000 people visit! And surely, it's overhyped! But you'll never know till you actually see it.

Alexandra spoke easily in English and Spanish to accommodate all 5 members of the tour. I highly recommend her to guide the Louvre tour! She was extremely knowledgeable and approachable to answer all our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend seeing the Louvre with this tour.
