Enjoyed the trip and certainly queues for us were reasonably short, even though it was a busy Sunday The gardens were a disappointment as there were no sign posts, no stewards to ask and no seating. The map we were issued with did not seem to relate to what we could see and didn't indicate where we were. We only came across the train after it was too late to join the queue to take it. We were let down badly on the return journey as the coach did not return us to our starting point as promised in your e-mail of 13th May. They finished at the Opera and refused to carry on. We walked a good distance to find a taxi with no luck and back at the Opera Metro the entrance to the line we wanted was closed and we had to walk some distance to the other entrance. it was very hot and we are both in our 80s and were extremely tired. Our tickets cost 7.50 Euro. Most of the above not your fault except for the let down at the end
If I had one suggestion I would find a way to separate the Mona Lisa patrons from those that didn't want to have a way of bypassing them to see the other exhibits. I know that this is a temporary placement and what I casually suggest might be nearly impossible. Seeing the Louvre was the main reason for my visit to Paris. The food and wine I admit came a close second. I found the people of Paris kind and very helpful all you need to do is be polite. I had one of my best experiences here and I hate to leave. Merce beaucoup Pat
First of all, we went ahead of the at least 2 hour long ques (!) and got in without even one minute of waiting. The audio guide (a little device that you hold up to your ear) was pretty good. You have basically different number along the way through the catacombs, that tell you a story. It was more a museum of the beauty of the dead, than a place to get frightened. But that was okay and a really different kind of experience. We learned alot about the story behind it and it was worth it imho. Recommended!
Get Your Guide out me out of a right jam as I had incorrectly selected an evening slot. Everything was sorted and the day began right on time at 8:45am. Our tour guide Oscar was super friendly and knowledgable. I would definitely recommend going at this time as you then have the rest of the day to do more sightseeing
We were late arriving because our Uber took like 30 minutes getting to us. And I was able to get in contact with get your guide who got in contact with the third party provider and they got us into the next group going in so we didn’t lose any money and still got to do our tour.
