We did this tour of Le Marais on a Sunday. Since no one else had signed up, my family of 4 received a private tour for the price of a group tour. This was an added bonus because we had our wonderful guide, Eleanor, all to ourselves. Eleanor was so knowledgeable about the area and Paris in general. All the food (cookies, pastries, cheese, chocolate, jams, falafel, etc.) and wine tastings were excellent. Even my daughters (18 and 21) enjoyed everything, which is not often the case. My favorite part was talking with Eleanor about her life and future plans, as well as how Americans are perceived by Europeans and comparing youth slang. Eleanor was so friendly and easy to talk with (and had excellent English!). Le Marais was a part of Paris we had not previously seen, but everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to visit again. We wish Eleanor all the best!

This was a fabulous tour, taking in lots of food stops as well as introducing us to the history and culture of the Marais district. Learning more about French cheese was a real bonus as was the restaurant stop to taste snails and charcuterie platter. We had so much food and wine that we certainly didn't need any dinner afterwards. Our charming French guide Eleanore made this tour a very special holiday memory for us.

My husband, friends, and I thoroughly enjoyed our food tour of The Marais (in April 2023) with our exceptional guide, Arthur! His choices of tastings were representative of what Parisians, not tourists, eat, and the food was so, so delicious. Our group particularly enjoyed the visit to the Marche des Enfants Rouges. (For anyone vísiting Paris or this neighborhood, do not miss this iconic and vibrant market.) Arthur masterfully wove lessons of contemporary culture, history, art, and architecture of the Marais throughout the tour with clarity and great humor, making this experience a treat for our palates, as well as our eyes, ears, and brains. I have since recommended this tour and Arthur specifically to numerous friends who live in Paris or who are planning trips there soon. This is one experience not to be missed! Thank you, Arthur!
