It was a 2 1/2 hour leisurely cruise one way mostly on the Canal St Martin but finishing on the Seine at the Quai D’Orsay. I believe it can be done the other way round, and that would allow a visit to the Musée d’Orsay first. There was a very full live commentary in French and English and the trip shows mainly some interesting but lesser known aspects of Paris. The boat also passes through a number of locks and swing bridges. There is seating on top in the open air and more on the lower deck. On the lower deck there is a bar though no food. The windows are large and can be opened for fresh air. The crew were friendly and welcoming. A good trip.

what a great afternoon river cruise on the seine & along canal saint-martin! our guide was very nice, easy-going and shared his knowledge of various well-known sights, along with random stuff that only locals know...truly could not have asked for better weather either, a perfect autumn day! absolutely recommend this cruise!

It's a nice boat cruise on an offbeat path. I liked how I had not seen this part of Paris before. It's like a hidden gem. The seine cruises are a dime a dozen and this cruise differentiates itself. I read some of the other reviews and I didn't find the speaker annoying, nor did I find the seats uncomfortable. I agree that you could bring a snack and a drink. The weather I had was perfect +23 and sunny. Bring sunglasses and bring a jacket just in case. You go through 1.5km of underground cavern type area. Very cool. You see lots of different bridges too. As far as improvement on how to make this even better, I do agree with someone else's comment that the last 20minutes on the Seine seems too short. It would have been nicer if this cruise went up the river farther to the statue of liberty and turned around and came back to Orsay. (just because the Canal and Seine are two different worlds). They really complement each other. Do this if you've been to paris B4.
