Full description
After picking up your audioguide, you’ll be off and running to experience one of Paris’ most iconic sights. Built between 1875 and 1914, the Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur is located at the summit of the hill of Montmartre, offering fantastic views of the whole of Paris. After climbing 270 steps to reach the top of the hill, enjoy the panoramic views while hearing about the history of the city and the basilica itself.
Once inside the basilica, gaze upon the massive mosaic depicting the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and learn the history of the stunning cathedral’s construction. Afterwards, stroll through the bohemian quarter of Montmartre, stopping at the lovely Place du Tertre, or the famous Lapin Agile cabaret.

- A deposit fee of 30€ is required for the audioguide and will be given back when audioguide is returned.
- For the tour at 4pm, the audioguide must be returned at the kiosque by 8:30 pm at the latest (and by 6 pm during the period of November to March).
- Proper attire is required to enter the Basilica.
- Entrance is free to the Sacré-Coeur.
- This is a walking tour, and unfortunately not suitable for people with reduced mobility as there is no lift access on the route.
