Though it’s still closed for restoration after the April 2019 fire, you can still experience the amazing cathedral from the outside on our Notre Dame walking tour. Learn how it took a century to finish, relive the night people all over the world watched the fire, and look to the future of Notre Dame’s reopening with stories and insights from your local guide. Your guide will take you to the scene of the fire and point out the iconic features for you to admire, including the towers, gargoyles, and spires. Just steps from the cathedral, you’ll get as close as possible to Point Zero, the geographic center of Paris that’s sometimes considered a place of good luck. Finish your walking tour at the entrance to the archaeological crypt below Notre Dame, where you’ll explore on your own this fascinating underground world, featuring exhibits and artifacts dating back to Roman times.

  • On rare occasions, the Crypt can be closed for construction or maintenance. In this case, you will receive the outdoor guided walking tour only
  • The tour will take place rain or shine
  • This tour doesn't go inside Notre Dame. Though the cathedral has recently reopened, group tours are not yet permitted inside Notre Dame. You are welcome to try to visit on your own after the guided tour. This guided experience is an outdoor walking tour of the area surrounding the cathedral, followed by entry (ticket included) to the crypt beneath it.
