No Diet Club - Paris : Night food tour - Montmartre

This was a food tour of two halves. The first half was great. Our guide Jade met us on time, was friendly, seemed a bit nervous but she explained that due to illness our original guide was unable to be here and this was one of her first tours. At our first stop, we had 2 dishes; Snails & Egg with Mayo. water is included but you do have an option at every stop to buy alcohol. Our second stop included a charcuterie board with a mix of cheese and cured meats. Portions were of a good size and the wine I bought here was delicious. Our 3rd stop was were the tour started to change. We had a very small bite of a crepe then sat in the cold whilst a small group of the tour had the drinks they'd bought. Next we stood in the cold for 20 minutes, before walking for another 20 minutes to find somewhere to sit and eat ½ a Croque Monseur each whilst detouring to the local off licence where people bought more alcohol making it feel like a student bar crawl. Not awful, but not the best we've been to.

Dorine made this food tour incredible! The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed going to places I otherwise wouldn’t have found myself. Dorine was so happy to help and answer any questions we had about Paris. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a fun night in Paris!

Our tour guide Pablo was great - fun & informative, and we had a nice group of people, 9 in total. It was an English-speaking tour but 6 of the people in our group spoke French (Canadians & locals), so at times the main conversation was in French, which 3 of us could not follow, a little frustrating. At our first stop we got to try garlic snails and boiled eggs in Dijon mayo (or you could have French Onion soup). Second stop was a lovely wine store where we were introduced to French wine varieties (but no tastings), you could purchase a glass of wine to accompany the complimentary meat & cheese boards, which were really nice. Third stop was a Croque Monsieur shop, not enough room to sit in, so we walked up to the base of Sacre Couer and ate there. Croque Monsiuer are a fancy French toasted ham & cheese sandwich and taste best when eaten immediately. Fourth stop was a pizza shop - because pizza is hugely popular in France … No room to sit in, so we ate from the pizza boxes
