Our tour of the Louvre Museum was fantastic! Hamish, from Scotland, was our guide and he really knew his history. He showed us the highlights and gave us some insightful details that made each piece of art come to life. If you have never been to the Louvre, a guide from Dayin will help your day go smooth and stress free. Even with the crowds, I was not worried because I was getting a great overview and was able to revosit the areas that interested me after the tour. For example, we skipped the Mona Lisa line and returned after the tour to see her up close. My only complaint would be that the sign that was held up did not have Hamish's name on it. It said "Dayin" and I thought that it was a hotel name. I now understand that "GetYourGuide" is a platform for tour guides, much like Airbnb is for homes to rent. Maybe he should hold up a sign with either the guides name or my name. Just a suggestion.

After a minor challenge trying to locate our guide, Walid, (maybe the service could send a PDF of a flag the customer could hold aloft to attract the guide?) We ended up asking another guide if HE was Walid, said he wasn’t but knew Walid and would call him for us. We amused ourselves for 10 more minutes and Walid arrived late due to public transit. Walid was definitely worth the wait. Very well qualified, informative and helpful. I walk with a cane after a recent knee replacement and Walid knew where all of the elevators were and was able to escort us through the paths of least resistance to see a great deal of the Museum. This was my third trip through the facility but my guests were first timers and we all were very impressed. If you are very lucky you might get Walid as your guide. When in Paris again I certainly will bask for him by name.
