We're art noobs & just didn't want to get lost in the Louvre. Our guide was an art history professional & spoken English (Canadian) which is VERY helpful to 1st timers in Paris. She definitely knew what she was talking about & knew the lay of the land inside the Louvre. Enjoyable 2+ hours to spend an evening getting adapted with our Paris legs. Only negatives were: 1) meeting @ carousel in front of Louvre is busy as flag identification was not available. 2) Louvre is loud even on Wednesday night in October so microphone & headsets would have helped us hear presentation

Our tour guide, Martha, was very knowledgeable about all different eras of art. She was friendly and patient with the four people in our group. I did not even know about the fortress section of the Louvre that was the beginning of what it is today. She touched on some of the most famous pieces but also a few I had not heard of, including French history paintings.

Martha was very knowledgeable about the Louvre, it’s treasures and it’s history. My only complaint was it was hard to hear her because she did not wear the headset. It was around her neck so the microphone was too far from her mouth. It picked up too much noise around her.
