Paris is known as the "City of Lights" for being the first city to provide its streets and buildings with street lighting. However, it makes just as much sense to call it the City of Lights because of the way it looks when the it's illuminated at dusk. The tour begins at the Opera Garnier. Here, you'll see some of the main monuments and sites of Paris with beautiful illuminations of the city such as the Madeleine, an impressive church similiar to Roman-style architecture; the Champs Elysees, one of the most important avenues in Paris; and the Elysee Palace, the seat of the presidency of the French Republic. You can also expect to explore the monumental surroundings of the Grand Palace of Paris, the Petit Palais, the Pont Alexandre Ill and the National Palace of the Invalides, which is where the remains of Napoleon are found. The tour ends at the beautiful Soul Bridge, which crosses the Seine River and became world famous for the tragic accident where Lady Diana died.
