Full description

Throughout your 2-hour guided tour you will discover the dark side of the center of Paris. Choose between a shared or private experience, which will begin at the former main site of the bloody and popular public executions, which were both adored and appreciated by Parisians.

You will see how cruelly they used to punish convicted criminals, as well as the occasional unfortunate innocent person too. Paris is a haunted city with plenty of ghosts and phantoms. One famous French poet became the ghost that today haunts a theater, another one was injured during a fire and has since never left the Opera House.

You'll learn about the "evil queen" of France, and how another spirit haunted her all the way up until her final days. Demons and devilish beings are everywhere in Paris, with the Notre Dame Cathedral containing plenty of them on its exterior. On this facade, there are so many creepy and mysterious signs and symbols, which require a thorough investigation to properly appreciate it. You will learn how a gypsy cursed a house in the Latin Quarter, causing its owner to die. This was followed by more people mysteriously dying there.

You'll hear the spine-chilling story about this most famous cursed Parisian place, before your chilling tour finishes at the meeting point with the story of a vampire.

Great experience and highly recommended. Tour guide was fantastic, funny, knowledgable, and personable — especially considering this is a dark secrets tour. The walk wasn’t overly long, bur definitely recommend you wear comfy shoes. The stories were fascinating and wished it could go on all night. Five stars for the tour and five stars for the guide!

This was definitely one of the most interesting tours we did in Paris. Learning about all the legends as well as the true stories was great! I unfortunately do not remember the name of our guide but we toured with him on the night of February 11th 2023, and he was so knowledgeable and such an amazing public speaker! If you want to do something different in Paris book this tour! You will not regret it!

We booked this for us and our three boys (aged 9-14) with heaps of excitement, and some trepidation; we weren't sure how engaging they would find it, whether it would distract them from 2 hours of walking. On the contrary, they collectively scored the walk 9/10, only taking one point off for the sheer goriness of one particular story (you'll have to book the tour to guess which one...) Morgan was our guide for the evening and he was superb! For the entirety of the walk, he was fluid and animated, no hesitations or awkward silences, with lashings of dark humour thrown in for good effect. He used an iPad loaded with photos to embellish and support the storytelling. It really was first class and we are so pleased we chose this activity over others. It helped that the weather was mild and dry... apparently it does go ahead despite the rain. Would advise preparing your tip in advance, it will be well deserved. Highly recommend this for all able age groups.
