Full description
Journey through a darker side of the history of Paris on a walking tour of some of the city's great crime scenes. Follow a route that traces shady business dealings, sites of execution and much more. Discover how Paris was once a maze of side streets where it was easy to get lost, providing refuge for thieves and other miscreants. Learn, for example, about the emblematic Pont Neuf where, in the 17th century, the crooks, thieves and beggars came from the Cours des Miracles to steal the bourgeois before returning to the neighborhoods around the Halles and Beaubourg. Learn about the great gallows and gibbets of Montfaucon, and listen to surprising facts and fascinating anecdotes on the approximately 2km walk. Language requirement

We did not realize we needed to be French speaking to get any real value from the tour - had we done, we would have made different choices.
