Our tour guide was knowledgeable and kind. I was struggling a bit with parts of the floor being slippery, and he loaned me his large umbrella to use as a walking-stick. He emphasized the humanity behind not only the people's bones which we were viewing, but also the hundreds of workers who worked in the dark tunnels over the decades. The tour felt respectful and peaceful. The small group (there were only 6 of us in total) was perfect for this experience. I would highly recommend this tour.

Full description
Hear the unbelievable story of how the catacombs were built, and the massive project that was undertaken to move bones from around the city to this point. Your special access status means the guards will also open gates just for your group, letting you into areas such as a secret chapel decorated with skulls and femurs.
The Paris Catacombs contain bones representing some 2,000 years of history, and their construction was a unique civil engineering project that helped give rise to the modern-day city.

- Unfortunately, the Catacombs are not wheelchair accessible. Please be advised that there are 130 steps to the Catacombs. Unfortunately, there is no elevator access.
- Please note that there are neither toilets nor cloakroom facilities at the Paris Catacombs
- Only bags smaller than 55 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm are allowed
- Please note: This tour has a decreased group size of six people and a modified price on select start times (1:30 PM, 4:30 PM, and 5:30 PM) for a more intimate experience. At 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM, this tour has a group size of 14 guests.
- The catacombs are subject to closures due to strikes. If time permits, we will reach out to you prior to your tour. For last-minute closures, cancellations may be communicated at the meeting point.
