Great experience with the ticket as well as at the museum itself! They were able to scan the ticket I bought on GetYourGuide and we just breezed in. The museum was incredible! Loved seeing all of the amazing works of art by famous Impressionist artists. I want to return someday!

The Musee d'Orsay holds a significant collection of art and sculpture; it has a particularly fine permanent exhibition of Impressionist and post-Impressionist art. It also regularly hosts special exhibitions of works by specific artists, for example in autumn 2021 there is an exhibition of works by David Hockney. There is also a museum shop and rather good café. My suggestion for this or any other museum or gallery is to decide before you go what it is you really want to see and give yourself time to really enjoy that rather than rushing around trying to see everything. Currently (November 2021) you can queue up for tickets at the museum or you can pre-book online for tickets at specific time slots; we did this and went straight in Missing out on the line of people waiting to buy tickets - all the information can be found on the museum website. Also at this time a Covid vaccination pass will be needed, we used the French AntiCovid app.

Really great art museum with mostly impressionist and post impressionist works by Monet, Manet, Cezanne, Renoir, Toulouse Latrec and Van Gogh. I believe it has more works by these artists and period than the Louvre, so if you enjoy this style more, than you should visit this museum. It takes about 2-3 hours to walk through. The building is also really cool with modern interior architecture in an old building. The design is really spectacular with a great flow. The sculpture terraces are also really nice. I would say some of the lighting from windows creates glares on the art as they are framed in glass, so if you are truly an art history nerd then it might bother you, otherwise great museum.
