Full description

Enjoy a full-day trip from Paris to the D-Day Beaches in Normandy in the company of a guide, who'll bring these historic sites to life. Learn about the military operation, and visit the American Cemetery, Arromanches, and Juno Beach. Board the luxury air-conditioned coach in central Paris and get set to enjoy a unique day in Normandy. Relax and admire the beautiful landscapes of the French countryside. Visit the well-known American Cemetery at Saint Laurent. Explore this 170-acre site that features 9,387 white marble headstones lined up perfectly across the grass, a memorial, a chapel, and the Garden of the Missing. Follow a small trail down to Omaha Beach, too.

The next stop is in Arromanches, a historic town known for its artificial port that was built to assist the Normandy landings. On D-Day, the harbor saw the unloading of almost 10,000 tons of equipment. You can still make out the floating reinforced concrete Phoenix constructions in the water.

Before returning to Paris, make a short stop near sandy Juno Beach and its cemetery, one of the key D-Day landing beaches for Canadian troops on June 6, 1944.

Get the opportunity to see everyday objects from life under occupation, maps, and models of military vehicles, as well as film screenings recreating the emotions of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.

The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about Normandy, surrounding areas, and the events of D-Day. The bus was very comfortable but did not appear to have been cleaned. It was overall a good tour, but expensive for what few things were included.

this was a great tour to Normandy. We saw quite a lot in one day. not included but i would have been interested in a museum stop. and providing an audio connection device would have been helpful. we only got information about the site it we happened to be at the same spot with guide.

This trip is a fantastic way to see the size and scope of the D-Day invasion. We went all the way from Omaha Beach to Juno Beach. We were also able to visit the memorials and some of the intact German bunkers. Our guide was wonderful and our driver spectacular! Some of the streets are still narrow but we got through them! This tour was enough to know that I need to come back to spend more time at each location. You see everything but there is not enough time to really let the size and scope of the invasion and sacrifice sink in. I will be back when I can spend a few days in Normandy. The countryside is beautiful so it is worth going back for a more extensive stay for the towns and the memorials.
