Paris: Montparnasse Tower Observation Deck Entry Ticket

We have seen the Tower for so many years and thought that this modern business skyscraper was completely out of character with the city. After visiting, we are better able to appreciate its existence. The elevator takes you to the 56th floor in what seems like less than a minute, the views are incredible. We went at sunset, it wasn't that crowded and it has a bar and gift shop. Our only complaint was that a sign that said Sortie (Exit) kept us from going to the other side, and when we were leaving we walked through and discovered access to the other half of the rooftop so we stayed another 1/2 hour. If we had known we would have gone there before the sun went down. In that area there is an animated film that takes you through the history of Paris and that was fascinating. There are 2 stair accesses that take you to an open rooftop with a 360 degree view.

Amazing view! Not lots of people though could get crowded during sunset times.
