The drive from Paris to Giverny is beautiful, and we enjoyed seeing the extremely scenic and charming area around Giverny too. Our guide Sebastien was friendly and informative. He was a safe driver and spoke excellent English. Once there, tThe guide leaves us at the entrance and then we are on or own to explore and fend for ourselves through the hordes. The gardens are stunning and the home is cute, filled with art and memories. But too many people want to see Monet's home and there are WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE being sold tickets to see the home and garden in a single day. Long queues everywhere, swarming people everywhere. It is difficult to get photos without several hundred of "your new best friends" in them. Monet's home and garden is being loved to death. Perhaps the best strategy is to go very early. That said, I was glad to have gone. It just requires patience and politeness from all to wait to take your photos.
Sebastian gave us good information and was very friendly in conversation. He is also an excellent driver.
